Namie Amuro ended her last nation-wide tour before her retirement on 3rd June. Her last dome tour named "namie amuro Final Tour 2018 〜Finally〜"was started in Nagoya dome in Feburary and the total audience of the tour reached approximately 750,000 in 17 concerts until the tour ended in June. Summing up the audience in her asian tour (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), the total number of audience of her last tour recorded the largest number of audience of approximately 800,000 as a solo artist. More than 5.1 million ticket applications were received.
The audiences called for "Namie" before the concert started. Along with the hall being darkened, audiences cheered wildly to welcome Amuro. Performers holding flame torch then came to the stage and lightened up the fire station, followed by her recent top hit "Hero".
Amuro performed numbers of hit songs such as "Hide & Seek", "Do Me More", theme song of drama "Mint",etc, with dance performance. Wearing cute pink one shoulder mini one piece, Amuro sang her essential songs such as "Baby Donʻt Cry" and "New Look". The big hit "Showtime". Theme song of "Prison Princesses" broadcasted by TBS last year livened up the crowd to the next level followed by numbers of her masterpieces. Though "SWEET 19 BLUES" and "Love Story" were of different generations, both of them were so well-known and popular that 5,2000 audiences even sang the songs along with Amuro.
In the middle of the concert, as the intro of "TRY ME ～Trust me～" from 1995 was played, there was another round of applause and cheering. Following the "Season of the sun" is a performance which synchronize "a walk in the park" and the live video from 1997 and 2012, then she ran in full speed from one end of the 70-meter stage to the other and sang 「Chase the Chance」. Those songs are more pollished than before, as if everything is new and we could also feel about the long history of Amuro as an artist.
When she appeared in beautiful white dress for her performance of "Can You Celebrate?", the audience stopped screaming and became quiet. As Amuro sang "Do It For Love" at the end of the concerts, Amuro shouted "Let's go wild! Tokyo!" and made the atmosphere immediately climaxed. Soon after that, a huge message board with "25 THANK YOU I LOVE FAN" raised up on the stage. That was the way of Namie Amuro to express her gratitude to her fans not by words.
At the encore, Amuro performed the theme song "Hope" of TV animation "ONE PIECE" (Fuji TV Series) with their special collabration movie projected to the screen.
One of the last two songs of the concert was "Finally", from her last and only all time best album named "Finally", and the other was "How do you feel now? " written by Tetsuya Komuro for the first time in 16 years. Her set consisted of 30 songs, 24 songs selected by fans based on over 2.7 million votes and 6 new hit songs. About 2 hours and 45 minutes of her performance flew by so fast.
Moreover, the release of concert DVD/blu-ray was announced soon after the end of the concert tour. The luxurious DVD/blu-ray include her final concert in Tokyo dome and her "25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE in OKINAWA" which was held last year in Okinawa, and any one of the concerts of the last dome tour held at 5 cities (Nagaya/ Fukuoka/ Sapporo/ Osaka/ Tokyo※May) by selection.
In 25 years, Namie Amuro has held 716 concerts with aproximately 5 million audiences. She ended her tour by saying, “Lastly with a smile, take care everyone! Bye bye!”. The last dome tour was the very best tour ever as summing-up of her career of 25 years as the artist.
